3 Steps 1 Bow

1st time in my life I went for 3 steps 1 bow @ Kwang Ming Shan.

Was nervous and worried that I would not be able to make it to the end. Lay Kheng will go for 3 steps 1 bow every year thus I contact her for company. This year she went with 4 others friends from she had know through religious studies. They are all very friendly and approachable.

We met up @ AMK mrt at 10p.m. to catch a ride from her friend car. Upon arrival at the temple we saw a lots of people in the midst of the procession. Slowly we find our way to the Q and I was shocked. The Q forms like a long snake from the starting point till the enomous buddha @ the 3rd lvl building. Several thousands of devotees are pack tightly together. All here for the same purpose - to go through the procession. For what reasons???

I go for a new experience. But in my heart I hope to clear my past sins and seek a life renewal.

Red Cross to provide first aid assistant too. Eddie came over to join us too when we are nearing the starting point. I am feeling unwell and was praying hard to tahan through the whole procession. We chatted for hours from 10plus till 1plus am for our turn.

Finally it's us but I felt a sudden verge of panic. However during the walk I did not think of anything and but the final goal. Everyone keeps on chanting and repeating the steps. I tried to bow down fully till the forehead reach the floor but after a few times there is a strong surge to vomit. I have to give up bowing fully down, thus I did knelt down but I bow halfway only. Which is totally incorrect.

walk and bow, walk and bow, walk and bow, walk and bow, walk and bow, walk and bow... ...

Yeah I reach the final goal. We are lucky as it was going to rain and the sky hold for us till we reach the end point. After we got in the temple seeking water point, the sky start raining cats & dogs. Ahhhh... we can't get to our car now. Went to the canteen to take a break and continue chit chatting. I went over to the Red Cross post and they commented that they saw someone who bow halfway only which was the incorrect position. Haiz.. Kana caught by them sian.... but I was sick. Was trying hard to bow down but the nausea feeling just won't go away. Haiz over is over...

Thank you for giving me a brand new experience. I might be trying again next time....
