Weekend at Auntie place in JB

23 Apr 10, Friday.

First time travel to Johor Bahru using bus service from Jurong East bus interchange. Karen recommend me to take CW3 from Jurong East to reach Bukit Indah directly using 2nd link causeway which is faster. Met Ting around 7plus at night and travel down to Jurong East. The queue was so long long long...

Why am I travelling into JB again? It is because we wanted to have a BBQ session at Auntie's place. So go in early to prepare food lor!

24 Apr 10, Saturday.

Woke up early to have breakfast before Li Ling goes to work. Then no one is available to drive us around. While waiting for our food to arrive took photo with En En. Had a heavy breakfast which is not fantastic. I ordered mushroom omelette and french toast. There is something strange about the mushroom omelette. They uses oyster mushroom as the filing. I thought usually restaurant would use button mushroom instead? And the omelette does taste a little strange.

Went back home and rest for a while before Auntie's neighbour opposite drive us to Best Mart to purchase seafood and chicken for our BBQ. Shop shop shop and lazy bums (few of us) sitting one corner and take photos again. Spent quite a lot at the market as things are so expensive. By the time we finish shopping, our neighbour auntie send her daughter to Primary school and we get home. Bones are going apart. So tire. All of us doze off into lala land for afternoon nap.

Woke up le.. Continue to rot around till we hurry to prepare for the BBQ. We uses the BBQ stand from our neighbour and it is so small and is similar to those use by Satay man but shorter. Alamak I wonder how much time we must spend to finish cooking all the food?!?! Ting Ting is grumbling about it too. Too small for a BBQ session. End up Karen and Jack went out to buy wire mesh and they went to roadside nearby to collect unused bricks back. Setup a mini BBQ area burning lots of charcoal just out the door on the road pavement. Sian hor... so pathetic. The road lights are dim too. So we are practically cooking in the dark. Wen Bin came over and join us quite late in the night.

Anyway it is a fun session. Should do a next one with bigger charcoal burner. Think I must go and buy one liao. Not expensive at all.

25 Apr 10, Sunday.

Woke up early and breakfast time. Enough of Mac (En En's fav), they suggest to go Abalone Noodle. Think should be quite famous there. When we arrive it is quite packed already. I ordered noodle soup but saw the table beside us are all munching on the dry one, immediately change my mind. See my mee... It comes with a big bowl of ingredient and soup. Happy family again... See how cute is Ms. En En. She likes to call me Ms. Gu Gu.
